Doug Levitt is a Senior Partner at LDDC and leads the firm’s Housing Law Practice Group. He is a recognized leader in Ontario’s housing bar, advising condominium corporations, residential landlords, multi-family developers, non-profit housing providers, and housing co-operatives.
His practice spans the full range of housing law matters, with particular strength in complex transactions, development and conversions, governance, and high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution. Doug is known for delivering clear, pragmatic advice on sophisticated legal issues, aligning legal strategy with the operational realities of large housing portfolios.
An accomplished advocate, Doug regularly appears before the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and all levels of court in Ontario. He has acted as lead counsel in numerous precedent-setting cases shaping residential tenancy and condominium law.
Doug is also a frequent speaker for leading housing industry organizations and a respected voice in Ontario’s housing sector.
