Roman Komarov
Roman Komarov is an Associate Lawyer at LDDC, practising primarily in civil and commercial litigation, regulatory offences, condominium law, and residential tenancy law.
Roman represents landlords, housing providers, property owners, condominium corporations, and other housing-sector clients in contractual disputes, property damage claims, regulatory prosecutions, residential tenancy matters, and human rights applications. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Condominium Authority Tribunal of Ontario, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Roman graduated from the Faculty of Law at Samara State University of Economics in Russia in 2002 and pursued a career in law enforcement with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, where he conducted preliminary criminal investigations. Fluent in Russian, Roman is able to assist Russian-speaking clients where appropriate and brings an international perspective to his practice.
After moving to Canada, Roman completed the Court and Tribunal Agent Program at Seneca College and became a licensed paralegal in 2009. Before being called to the Ontario Bar, Roman had an extensive paralegal career, including serving as in-house litigation counsel for one of Canada’s largest housing providers and practising with LDDC. Roman received his National Committee on Accreditation certification in 2023, completed his articles with LDDC, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
