Timothy M. Duggan
Timothy M. Duggan is a Partner at LDDC and leads the firm’s Housing Transactions and Development Practice. He advises multi-family developers, housing providers, condominium corporations, real estate clients, and corporate and commercial entities on transactional, development, governance, financing, and dispute resolution matters.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2010, Tim obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008.
Tim provides strategic, practical advice across the full lifecycle of housing transactions and development projects, including acquisitions and dispositions, development and redevelopment matters, condominium structuring and registration, shared facilities agreements, financing and security arrangements, governance documentation, and operational agreements.
Tim also maintains a comprehensive litigation practice, representing clients in condominium, residential tenancy, civil, and commercial disputes. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal, as well as administrative tribunals including the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Condominium Authority Tribunal, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
In addition to his transactional and litigation work, Tim provides strategic counsel to condominium corporations on governance matters, including the drafting of declarations, by-laws, rules, and shared facilities agreements, and regularly serves as chair of owners’ meetings. He also advises residential landlords on the drafting and negotiation of leases, occupancy agreements, property management agreements, and other operational agreements.
Tim is a frequent speaker for leading professional and industry organizations, including Osgoode Professional Development, the Canadian Condominium Institute, the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario, and the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario.
